Don't let the initial strong smell of fish sauce deter you from coming in because this place knows how to cook Thai ! We got the fried red snapper to split and it was plenty. It comes with a side of red curry & vegetables and with the fish it was so tasty. The place is good size but in the same area as the kitchen so you get the kitchen smells but the vibe of the restaurant helps make up for it. Service was fine ...nothing spectacular but no problems either. The place was not very busy so they helped us out as we went late afternoon. I recommend.

My go-to neighborhood Thai spot! The ambiance is perfect for a sophisticated , yet casual vibe. The service is always exceptional. We got the papaya salad and fried chive fritters to start. Both were excellent. We then got the tofu pad Thai, veggie pad see ew, and beef drunken noodle. Both the pad Thai and drunken noodle were tasty and delicious. However, the pad see ew was flavorless and is the reason for the 4 star review. Last time I was here, the pad see we was burnt. I would advise you to avoid the pad see ew.

Honestly my favourite Thai restaurant in NYC thus far and I've been to a lot. I was kinda worried when I saw the rating but my friend said she loves this place so we came and I love it!! The Thai tea was so good!! And Thai red curry was the perfect consistency and perfect amount of spice and sweet. I got a spice level 2/3. And it wasn't too spicey. We also got to her curry puffs and it's my new favourite appetiser. The service was kind of slow. I had to get the server attention to get our order and for the receipt. It was very spacious inside. I would definitely come again!!

This review is late and Long over due. My 1st time at Joya was about 6 years ago, then again about 2 years after that.. I haven't been in 4 years until last night and everything was just as it was 6 years ago.. excellent customer service from the very attentive staff, delicious food and a great intimate setting. I got the garlic shrimp stir fry and he got the pad see yue noodles with beef.. both delicious. I need to stop by more often
